Zoe Nix
In her role as Training Coordinator, Zoe works with PHA Members, stakeholders and experts to design and develop plant biosecurity and emergency management training projects. Her training supports PHA building capability and capacity across the biosecurity spectrum. Zoe is passionate about biosecurity education and innovation and has experience in science communication and emergency plant pest management.
Before joining PHA, Zoe worked for the Australian Government in roles at Food Standards Australia New Zealand and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF). Her work focused on delivering policy, projects, and education to improve Australia’s food safety and biosecurity.
Zoe holds a Bachelor of Science from Australia National University (ANU), majoring in evolution, ecology and organismal biology.
